Cosy Bay to Clifton
OVERVIEW
A unique SwimRun experience at the foot of the 7th Natural Wonder of the World. The Cosy follows the second half of the iconic Cape course — Bakoven, Camps Bay and Clifton. An introductory blue grade race that gives you a genuine taste of the #wildlycool Torpedo SwimRun experience, without the full 17km commitment. Limited to 200 entries.

REQUIREMENTS
Additional requirements for athletes aged 12–18
- Individual entry
- Competent athlete with experience in cold ocean water
- Compulsory gear: Wetsuit (short arms and legs permitted) + Running Shoes + Whistle
- All entrants must complete and pass an online Ocean Safety Test prior to racing

Check-in at Clifton 4 parking
Shuttle departs Clifton 4 parking
Race starts at Tidal Beach (between Cosy Bay and Bakoven)
Race Morning
—Compulsory for all athletes to complete safety check-in and shuttle departure at Clifton 4
—No private or direct drop-offs allowed at race start
—Arrive 30 minutes before your shuttle departure
—Show compulsory equipment and have race number written on hand
—Be ready in full SwimRun kit before boarding shuttles
—Note: Cosy race is 15 minutes earlier than 2023

- •Athletes picking up or dropping off equipment will be disqualified

Not Allowed
- • Floatation larger than 100 cm x 60 cm
- • Any motorised equipment
- • Swim fins longer than 15 cm (measured from toe to end of fin)
Safety
General Safety Rules
- •You are responsible for your own safety — Torpedo is not raced in a controlled environment
- •Never start a swim you are not 100% sure you can finish
- •You must stay on the designated course — no more than 10 metres from the trail
Race Organisation May Refuse to Continue If
- • Not equipped with specified compulsory equipment
- • Judged not capable due to fatigue or poor physical condition
Water Entry
You must enter water feet first — diving is not allowed
